When ever I go over a bumpy road the back end of my car sounds like something is loose but I can't see anything wrong also the noise stops after about 35 miles and hour. The two shops I've taken my car to say nothing is wrong. I tell them you can't hear anything if you go over 35 but I doubt they are test driving my car under that speed. So have any of you experienced this before?

Hi,
Im having trouble with Hyundai Elantra 2005 roughly 35K. Im out of town by 7 hrs and the only 2 car places in town are still having trouble.
My car died last week completely dead - so i got a new battery. The car was fine to start the next morning but 5hrs later was completely dead again.
They then checked the alternator said it was at 14.11v. I took it down...

[FONT=Times][SIZE=1][COLOR=blue] Hello! My girlfriend has an Elantra (G3) and she's been having some issues with the sunroof. Most notably, the sunroof does not completely seal shut on the drivers side (back corner) and remains tilted in toward the interior when closed. Additionally, if she tries to just pop the rear up (keeping the majority of the window closed), the driver side does...

I have an 01 Elantra GLS and i have been going through headlights like no other. I just replaced both of them not even 3 months ago and about 3 weeks or so ago the passenger side headlight went out once again. Then right after the headlight went out the passenger side blinker started blinking really fast. And now my alarm on the car starts going off randomly at any given time. I was just wondering...

I would first like to say hello to everyone here, as I am a new owner of a 2003 Hyundai Elantra GLS with 85,000 miles. Great car! Runs smooth and the A/C is great.
I used to have a 1990 Ford Probe and I know vehicles very well (I had to learn how cars work, Im not rich and I was working on the Probe at least every other weekend. I frequented a Probe www site)
But this...

Here's a questions for you...
I'm changing my brakes and just finished the rear shoes/drums today. I'm planning to tackle the front discs tomorrow after I pick up a breaker bar and some more PB blaster for the carrier bolts. Anyways, after I changed the back shoes and drums, I still have a lot of give on the brake pedal before the car starts stopping. I have very little...

Hi Folks,
Just brought my baby in for a safety and emissions and guess what? Front brakes are fine but rear brakes are almost non existent. I should have paid more attention because of the dust always on my rear rims. It only has 37,000 miles and I don't brake hard. Also the rear passenger side brake is thinner than the drivers side brake. Does this mean I have to adjust the bias...

Check engine light came on today after what seemed like the car was stuck in 2nd gear. Took it to Autozone and registered a P715 and P1529 error code. It's at Hyundai now for an $85 diagnostic fee. From what I've read on here, seems like a common problem? My car is an 01, 106k miles. Just replaced plugs the other day and wires about 6 mos ago.
Has anyone had the...

Morning Everyone,
I currently drive a 2003 Hyundai Elantra and I'm quite happy with it. It's been a good little car. Recently the seat adjuster on the driver’s seat (round little knob you turn to raise and lower the front portion of the seat) has broken. Now to be clear, the knob isn't broken. But rather underneath the seat the crescent shaped gear has broken loose from the...

I have a 2004 Elantra GT with 67,000 and on my manual it says I should of changed my fuel filer at 50,000 miles. This is a pretty big job, considering I have to take off the back seat and unscrew it from the gas tank. Has anyone else done this?
The problem is that, my car is reving at a higher rpm and then it stalls. I'm thinking its the fuel filter, fuel injectors, or something...

I have an 8 year-old 2001 Hyundai Elantra GLS with about 85000 miles. The Malfunction Indicator Light comes and stay on and the car vibrates a lot more than usual when idle. Also, the car has trouble accelerating. This problem just cropped up today. I had a oil change recently and had the rear wheel cylinders changed about a month ago. Any idea what could be causing this?

The main problem that I am having is that my 2001 Elantra will stutter on acceleration. I have had this prob for a little while now, but it wasn't bad. Now, for the last two days it will stutter bad. It not only does it on acceleration, but also during normal driving and the CEL is ON. I pulled codes P0300, P0301, P0304 with my scanner. I did a look up in my Haynes repair manual, and it gave...

My 02 has been making noise that comes from the front driver's side, since Thanksgiving. It sounds like a tire rubbing. I have rotated the tires, changed the brakes and still the noise is still there.
The noise only occurs while driving and is the loudest at 60mph. The noise gets louder when the road curves to the left and quieter when I it curves to the...

Hi,
My girlfriend has a 2002 Elantra that has a peculiar problem. She frequently has to travel out of town for work, and leaves her car in the driveway. After 2 days or so, her headlights turn on for no reason. It's not necessarily in low light conditions, either. I know she usually sets the headlights to 'auto'...not sure if that's the problem or not. But, by the time...

The car manual for my 2003 gt Elantra says use only iridium NGK plugs. When I changed the plugs and wires the old plugs were just standard copper core Champion plugs. My question has anyone else used the much cheaper plugs in their own Cali spec Elantra. Unless I'm missing something I think I payed 5x more for nothing.
Also
