Whats up hyundai peeps. Im new here. I was looking at the 98-04 SLK and noticed that the headlight look similar to the 99-01 SONATA but wasnt sure. can anyone confirm beacause i found some aftermarket lights on ebay and was wondering is it worth it?

I am looking at buying a 2002 Sonata, V6. Hopefully the GLS, but possibly LX. Is anyone a long time owner of this car that can tell me if you have had a lot of problems with it...? Or has it been a pretty low maintenance car? Tell me all you can, PLEASE!

I recently had some general 60K maintenance done at a local garage for a 4-cylinder 2002 Hyundai Sonata with the understanding that it would be cheaper than the dealership.

The dealership wanted $495 just to do the timing belt!

The local garage replaced the balance shaft belt, timing belt, serpentine belt, and accessory belt for $400.

2002 sonata wheel bearing, I have had to replace all the bearings on all wheels of the car. They all failed with in 6 months. The car is in perfect alignment and all suspension componets in good condition. The vehicle as less than 130k on the odometer. Anyone else have this problem

HI: I have a chance to buy a 2001 Sonata with under 40,000 miles. My MSN Auto section gives the car good marks for overall reliability but from 1999 until 2003 each review warns that the timing belt is an issue and could cause damage to the engine valves if it breaks.

I just got SMOG checked on my Sonata V6 2001 and failed due to high NOx(reading-836 where average is around 18). I have 72K miles on the car and it just runs fine with no issues at all.

The manual & TSB says high NOx is due to the EGR malfunction, but I am not sure if the 2001 Sonata V6 has the EGR ?

Does this car have a "fuel pressure regulator?" I had a similar problem with a different car and that was what I had to replace.

Hello. My Sonata 2001 2.0 GLS has suddenly started running unevenly, it starts and ticks over fine but struggles under load. well my power steering hose has blown. i was thinking of get rid of it anyway since i knew it was going down hill. im also thinking of ditching the a/c system too and just getting rid of that whole side of the motor. anyone tried it? its gonna be a while before i get that hose so im gonna have to do something soon.

The windshield wiper motor barely works on low, high and hags in the middle of the intermittent mode. I replaced the motor and now it is doing the same thing plus blowing the wiper fuse?
