We're about 18 mi. east of the Omaha\CB metro area, there are 3, (unbelievable Huh??), Hyundi dealers in the area, we purchased ours from Edwards-O'neill in CB. Had ours in this week for some service & walked the lot, there were 4 in the service lot & 11 in new cars, one of the salesman said they were running their inventory down prepping for the '08's. :gunsmilie: We run into Azera's all the time, it's getting soooo disgusting :harhar: ! I don't know who sells them in the DM area, we get over there on a regular basis but I've never checked dealers. The service manager had just returned from a training class when we picked our Azzie up, they expect the new Eclipse on the lot Mid Sept. Stated that it was truly a unique & awsum :essen37: vehicle, BUT the V-8 won't be available, Hyundi Corp. apparently thinks their is "no market" in the USA for a high horsepower V-8?!?!? Go figure.

It has been a busy Azera day today. I saw four Azeras. One white, one blue, one gold/beige like the one I have and one black one tonight. This is the most Azeras I have seen on one day. Plus I seen three three last week in KY.

Just completed a 2000 mile one week trip from Des Moines to the Finger Lakes Region of New York state and back. Incredibly, I only saw one Azera. And.....that one was at a dealer in upstate New York. I saw one Bentley and three Rollers. What Gives? I don't expect to see many in Iowa, but 2000 miles through Il.,In.,Oh., Pa., and NY.? Maybe I need my glasses checked.

We now have three Azzies in our little town of 1100, another 06, black, SE, used, traded in on an '07ltd,; 07, green(?), D-tags, so I'm unsure if a loaner or new owner, haven't spotted the driver yet to visit with. The Wife & I purposely watched network TV for the whole evening last week, 4pm-10:30pm, (3nat'l networks), counted 23 Hyundi Ads, the majority were the "Big DUH" promo, but five were for leasing a Hyundi, with the Azzie being promoted really heavy. All three of the metro dealers had the comercials tagged.

I saw my first since purchasing. Last night, 2 am, in a small town of about 12,000. I was on the last hour of my 10 hour commute. White, no idea of the trim level. I slowed way down to see if it would catch up to me, but they were really pokey drivers. Ah well.

I'm no longer the only Azera owner in my neighborhood. Within the 2 1/2 months that I have had mine, there is now a black limited only two blocks away and another (same as mine) steel gray (? trim level) one six blocks away. There is also a nice green limited that I see often in my town but not in my immediate neighborhood :grouphug:

It is amazing how few Azeras there are. I think that it mostly depends on your location and whether people see the few advertisements there are for the Azera.
I live in Raleigh, NC and you would not believe the number of G35's and Mustangs I see around here. That in itself makes the Azera a unique car.

The nearest dealer to my hometown of Graham is 60 miles away. While there are a fair number of the lower end models, there aren't many Sonatas or Tibs in town. I figured I had a pretty good chance of being the only Azera in town. Two days back in town after buying my new ride, and I pass a black Limited in a residential neighborhood. I d@mn near gave myself whiplash turning around to eyeball it!

I saw a beige one two days ago and three black ones yesteday. Since I purchased my Azera one year ago next week I have been tracking how many Azera's I have seen on the road this year. So far only 29. I live only 9 miles from an Azera/Acura dealership and 29 is a very low number. I can go to Kings Island a large amusement park just up north of town and seveal times I have look and haven't seen one Azera in the lot. Plenty of Sonata's.

Just don't get it. Why would anyone what to purchase a Honda or a Toyota or any of the big three without considering the Azera. I still believe the Korean Stigma is in the minds of the automobile consumer. It has been a known fact for many years that Korea produces junk automobiles. It will take plenty of positive marketing to change the minds of the autombile consumer that Korea now produces products that are far superior than the big three and Honda and Toyota.

Hyundai has a great concept, by offering plenty of options included in the lower price of the car. Now they need to get the word out that their products are the same or better in quality than other auto manufactures.

It will take time for Hyundai to overcome the two factors limiting them. First is that very few people have ever heard of them. Second is the reputation from years ago. If I hadn't been reading a magazine during a boring meeting and saw an article comparing the Azera favorably to Avalon and even Lexus and Infiniti, I would never have thought to look at it.
It is unfortunate that people do not do more research and comparison shopping before purchasing a car. Been guilty of it myself a couple of times.
On Hyundai's behalf, I will say they seem to be doing a lot of advertising in the magazines I read and cable channels I watch.
I also think Hyundai is staking out a nitch. It is hard to find a true large sedan that is not made in America. The Europeans and Japanese seem to be leaning heavily toward the "sport" sedan and this results in poorer ride, less comfort and less interior space overall.

I saw a silver Azera in Blue Mountain Beach, Florida while vacationing sometime between Aug 27-31. It's the 5th one I've seen since getting mine Apr 07.
