anyone putted a 16v g4fk head on a g4ek scoupe gt engine?
so if you have, what mods do you have to make?
to get this engine up and running?
and is there someone that has a g4fk 1.5Dohc cilinderhead and who is willing to sell it.

I have thought about this also. but if you can amke 250bhp-200bhp on Std engine and internals why go the 16V route? Now!

Is put the 16v head onto the scoupe/x3/accent motor possible?

Drives: Modified (180 b.h.p.) `95 Hyundai S-Coupe Turbo SE ....Sadly now sold & replaced with an `04 Alfa Romeo 156 2-litre Veloce! :-http://aol.photobox.co.uk/album/thumbnails.html?c_album=7089276&page=all

I seem to remember reading that the block for the 16v Alpha II is different from that of the Scoupe Turbo`s Alpha I & that, therefore, the 16V head won`t fit.

Nick.

Asperilla:

Better flowing 16 valve head would give boost more early which is IMO very important factor when you are building your beastmotor and hold the boost later.

But it's yet to see that hyundais 16 valve head flow any better than stock 12 valve head!

where did you read that it's impossible to put a 16v head of the g4fk on a g4ek engine? because i believe that the have the same blok in a accent from 1996 with only other pistons and a compressionrate of 10. the reason that i would want a 16v head is the smaller weight of the valves and there for i would be able to ran more rpm's and so i'm able to go 100km/h in second gear. that will give you much better 0-100 acceleration times.
and of course the sound of a 16v engine is much better.
so if you can tell me where i can read that it is impossible :liebe011:

Build 200hp engine first, then you will benefit about doing 100 km/h in second gear.

...and then you will notice that the first gear is useless with that much of power and its's better to launch in second gear, so therefore only one gear change before 100 km/h.
