so i went to put on a intake on my 02. once i got everything on the car i though it would speed my car up a lil. it sounded nicer but it seemed like my car went slower. any ideas in what would make my car go slower? or what i should change on my set up?

It is only going to be slower in lower speeds because you basically took away your torque. in higher speeds is where you will see more speed.

^^Yep. Low end goes down the drain with the SRI in our Elantra's. You will also notice it slug even more on hot days. You didn't do anything wrong, that's just the way it is.

Don't know what you were thinking, the air may be less restricted, but looking at your picture you are blowing 200degree air off the engine fan directly into your intake.
