QUOTE(LilBean @ Jul 5 2008, 08:16 PM) Wow... deposits on Elantras... who would have thought THAT would ever happen? LOL We have a HUGE stock of Accents, a good number of Elantras, and a TON of 4 cylinder Sonatas. The Accents are absolutely flying off our lot. Our GM has taken advantage of that and has started ordering more Accent SEs, thinking that if people are having to buy a compact car that they might like to actually have a NICE compact car. We have about 15 Accents which is alot for us, down to 2 Elantra's and we have one 4 cyl GLS Sonata and 2 Limited's. Accent's sell ok for us. We don't have any SE's and we had trouble getting rid of the 07's. We just took 8 08 Sonata service loaner's out of service and all sold in 3 days except one. People are putting deposits on Elantra SE's because they are hard to get, they are even putting them on GLS's with sunroof's. About 3 weeks ago we got 9 black Elantra's from another dealer and we figured we would have trouble selling them since they were all black and that was all we had at the time, they were all gone in a week. Before the Elantra sales picked up a month or so ago the Focus's at our Ford store were flying off of the lot, now they have slowed down since I guess people realized the Elantra is a lot better car :bwekk: . I see you posting a lot. What do you do at your dealership? Did I see you are in parts? This post has been edited by HyundaiLvr87: Jul 6 2008, 10:41 AM

QUOTE(lovemysantafe @ Jul 8 2008, 05:13 AM) All the Hyundai dealers (minus Hannah Hyundai in Vancouver) are stand-alone in the Portland Metro Area. Their owners obviously have other franchises but not in the same building. Actually, Rey Reece Hyundai shares a building with their VW dealership. I don't think they advertise as being a multi-mark dealership, though (heck, I don't think they advertise AT ALL!) I actually test drove my first Accent there, but walked away when I got the distinct feeling that the salesperson knew NOTHING about Hyundais. I think he was a new hire... all of the Volkswagen guys hanging around trolling the parking lot seemed to be giving him a hard time :P
