Well, boys and girls, The Azera is history. Traded it on a Scion tC
Release Series 4.0. with manual 5 speed. The Azera attracted a lot of attention at the Toyota dealer. Book trade-in was about $14,400. The manager also looked it over an said " That is a beautiful, well maintained car. Can't believe it's a Hyundai".
they gave me a $15,500 trade-in allowance..........Scion 'no bargaining' policy. Couldn't pass that deal up. My boys, all 5 of them, couldn't believe I would go from a European luxury sedan, to a Korean near luxury car, to a 'Boy Racer'. One of them asked if senility was setting in ( I'm 69). Of course, a couple of them asked me that often when I was 50. Then tC is a hoot! Haven't had a stick shift since my 85 Renault 5 turbo. I will still be following your posts in this Azera forum. Anxious to Hear about reliability issues as the as the car ages. Thanks for all your posts.....very informative and I've especially been impressed with the civil tone and demeanor of this forum. Why does my tC keep stalling when I let up on the clutch? :whistling:

Based on what they allowed you for trade in, the dealership stole your car. This is my humble opinion based on the pics of your car.

You had a lot of nice add-ons installed.

I sold an 04 Mustang Cobra, 425 HP, manual 5 speed with 4,8000 miles and replaced it with my 07 Santa Fe Limited. I was age 62 when I purchased the Cobra so I understand the need for a "Fun Machine". This too shall pass. I am currently 66 years old and still having a heck of a good time.

As far as my 07 Azera is concerned, I will probably get rid of it when it is 3 years old.

In the meantime, I wish you a lot of fun and hope you continue enjoying the Golden Years.

Remember the big pic, God.

:)

New car fever or . . .

Can't believe you traded that fine machine in on such a Toy!
And at such a loss too. Was it because of the somewhat higher cost of fuel?

You know that you can buy a lot of gasoline for all that money you lost while trading.

Oh well, 'tain't really none of my business. :whistling:

Good luck. Keep in touch.

:innocent:

Thanks for all the kind comments. Yep, fuel economy was an issue. The tC, of course, is a very different animal. I was drawn to the total glass roof, boy racer appearance and probable better trade-in allowance. I'll say it again, The Azera was a h*** of a bargain.
