hello all,

i just bought my new tucson, second hand that is, which came with a build in car kit from Nokia (old version). The car kit is connected to my radio with the mute function enabled but I wanted to remove the car kit so i can use my own bluetooth kit.
After cutting the wires of the phone holder all seems to work fine, but after the next step something went wrong... I cutted the wires of the external antenna and the external microphone and now my radio wont play any sound anymore. Everything works on the radio except for any sound. So I adjusted the mute function in the radio's menu (3 options, off, muting 1 and muting 2) but none of them works? After checking the manual of my radio (JVC KD-G722) is states that the brown wire is the muting wire, but after pulling this one out of the euroconnector i still haven't got any luck.
The reason i just cut the wires is because the main unit of the Nokia car kit is installed some place underneath the dashboard which i can't reach.
Is there someone out there who can help me out, or do I have to remove my complete dashboard in search for the nokia unit to remove it?

Thanx in avance,

Roy

There are several Hyundai Tucson owners who have done something similar and you can find them on tucson owners dot com.(keep it all together with www at the beginning :) as if I put it down correctly this site changes the words to suite its own site)
I am not a specialist but I welcome you to this website and hope we can help you if you have any problems from time to time.
What colour is your tucson?
I believe the Tucson is the best small 4x4 around and even use mine to tow my 20 foot Caravan.
Cheers
