Yes, just bought it. But not from a Hyundai dealer (actually a Honda dealer).
It was after all papers were signed and they had our check that I found out that there are no other keys. They (the salesman and the person who handled all the paperwork) said it would be no big deal to get extra keys from a Hyundai service department when I asked them separately on my way out. Which has been the case with any car we have had in the past, so I didn't worry about it.
I called back to see if they had found any additional keys and when I told the salesman the cost of the keys, he didn't offer any assistance, so no reason to think they would now. [No no!]
Thanks, Ron

Yeah. No "big deal" to those two flunkies. :liebe011:
Just because they
"didn't offer any assistance, so no reason to think they would now" is not
the right train of thought from you! Nor is it your correct approach to management.
IF you do not come right out and ask someone who is in authority, the answer is of course "no." :P
So ask! Tell them that you expected a complete set of
all keys when you signed the
paperwork and gave them your check. A full set of keys is to be expected, correct?
Now that you have found out how expense a set of replacement keys are and that you thought
you were buying a complete car, you expect them to take care of this problem.
That's too much money for you to have to come up with out-of-pocket because
they
omitted the fact that all the keys were not with the car as they
should have been prior to you completing the deal for the car.
Would you have bought the car that way had you known beforehand that all keys weren't available?
Of course not! You would have insisted that they provide a complete set of keys or no deal.
They would have written into the paperwork that a full set of keys would be provided
for you either by you going and getting them yourself or whatever.
It's up to you. :P
Talk to the
overall manager or
the owner of the Honda dealership and tell him under
no uncertain terms that you
expect them to provide you with those
missing keys that should have been provided in the first place. That's too much money for you to have to pay because of their mistake.
How about your time and all the running around you will have to do?
Don't you have small claims court in Minnesota?
Good luck. Don't take "no" for an answer and deal with the
head honcho only. :whistling:
Go there and do it! No phone calls either.
:amen:
