We traded the Azzie three weeks ago for a Scion tC. Guess what? The tC has all remote functions integrated into the key! No more flopping, banging key fob. No more inadvertently hitting the panic button. Are you listening Hyundai?

The Veracruz has had this feature since it came out. The Genesis also has it, as will the Genesis Coupe that will come out next spring.

So, yeah, they've already been listening...

But there's a downside. Lose your key, lose your remote, and vice versa. And replacement costs will be high...

I love the remote for the VC Limited but it seems the tailgate is a little hesitant on some of them.
