Hello...I have a 2006 Azera Limited with the Infinety Sound system and from time to time my sound goes out, then comes back on, even though there is always power to the radio. I checked the wiring at the Amp in the trunk, and it seems to be fine with no lose connections. Has anyone else experienced this or have any idea? It seems like it could be lose wiring of some sort, and/or possibly over heating (seems to happen more during the hot summer days. Also, how do you take the front panel or fae plate off from the radio on the Azera so I can check the wiring into the radio itself???

Thanks,
Mike

My right rear speaker and the sub kept going off..... They replaced the amp.

Why do you want to mess with it ? Just take it to the dealer and tell them to fix it >.<

Brazzel is right. The car should still be under warranty. Let the dealer do the repair for you and avoid straining yourself. There does exist a set of photographs taken of how to remove the trim of the dash etc. to remove a radio for those who were interested in installing an after-market replacement radio. Unless you are changing to some new radio or a NAV capable double DIN radio it is probably more trouble than you would want to take on.

Elsewhere on the forum, someone has mentioned that if you disconnect power from the radio, even by disconnecting the car's battery for other reasons it will require a trip to the dealer to reset the security code lock-out in the radio. That is an anti-theft measure that is common even with after market radios. The chances are that if you do something to mess up this anti-theft feature you would probably have to pay for it being reset by the dealer.

Take life easy and turn it over to the dealer to solve. You might want to provide a detailed description of the problems/symptoms to the service writer/manager when you take it in. Keep a copy for yourself and make sure the problem description gets attached to the work order. :innocent:
