Japanese rock- Naitomea, Dir en Grey, the GazettE, Sendai Kamotsu, An Cafe, Mana, Miyavi, Gackt, 12012, and D.

American music- to make the list shorter, NO Avenge Seven Fold, NO My Chemical Romance, NO Rap, NO Emo crap.

Lot's of bass pumping electronica stuff from Germany and Sweden.

On a side note: It's illegal in some parts of Illinois to blast your music. I don't live in any of these areas, but right next to one. If a cop can hear your stereo from 70 ft away, you will recieve a $250 fine and your car will be impounded and they will take away your stereo.

However, I did get yelled at by some hillbilly to turn my music down, I sped off, he was ticked. haha.

I like listening to Indie music. Like the Silversun Pickups or The Shins. I also listen to some hip hop like Atmosphere and Del the Funky Homosapien.

im with you dalwin...
im all about the indie. no screaming, punk or metal.
clearly not alot of people here like the rap.. but im down with lil wayne's carter III among other non-crappy rap.
intelligence is the key.

edit - just to clear my name, i goto shows which mainly involve metal and/or screaming.. im not flaming, just sounds better live than on my drive home or whatever.

I don't know about the best song, but I did drown out someone in their Ghetto-mobile with some good ol' TOOL. He then got mad and wanted to race and so I smoked him when the light changed. (By smoked I mean slowly crept ahead of)

He did have really big rims tho' so I guess he won at that.

I second the Avenged Sevenfold song...but that song is awesome regardless of where you listen to it!

"Party Like a Rockstar" sounds really good in our cars too.

I respect your opinion. To me, I classify emo music as anything from Panic at the Disco, Dashboard Confessional, and and all those other frilly rainbow, tight pants wearin', boy bands. That's my opinion on that. I any of you like that kinda stuff, that's your thing. Not my cup of tea.

So many songs.. Usually on long trips i make a mix of classic rock, country, rock, and alternative. (anything but rap--ick!)

Although, lately on my drives to work.. I have been listening to slipknot, metallica and yellowcard.

are you close to old saybrook? i use to live in ct. its beautiful up there in the fall!

About an hour away. My mom and step dad have a beach house down there that the wife and I use occasionally though. It is beautiful

Back on topic, I guess I need to give the new Disturbed another shot. First time around didn't really work for me. After the first album, they all went downhill for me though 10,000 Fists wasn't bad. Love the Phil Collins cover.

never really sat down and listened to dashboard confessional, but PANIC! isnt emo, it would fall into a place between alternative and punk. and emo isnt a stop on that train. taking back sunday is a technical definition of emo but it never got played by the "emo" kids cuse they were all fakes. there is a vid on you tube and a guy actually goes through a few real emo bands. just cuse people who call them selves emo listen to band, doesnt mean the band is emo.

Just got this off one of my main forums where I go... http://www.djsteviev.ca/music_off/downloads.html

He does good mixes of songs, theres the oldies dance up to Akon and such... and hes Canadian

DJ STEVIE V! I had 2 of his mixes and people loved them, these ones are great too!
