I've got a 1.1L classic, the engine in my car has been tried and tested for years in the Amica and it is an incredibly reliable engine. Thats why I choose this engine over the new 1.2L.

Will the new engine be as reliable ? who knows. I know it will be under warranty but I don't want the hassle of taking the car in for repairs.

I am sure the new engine will be as reliable as the 1.1L but for me its a case of better the devil you know.

Interesting article here about the 1.2 and the technology behind it. I didn't know it has a timing chain. Does the 1.1 have a timing belt then, or is that chain too?
