Well i've been noticing alot of people with different types of cars running Fog lights along with their parking lights, from what i know it does not justify using normal headlights but i would like to find out how to do it because i like how it looks, has anyone tried this? i found various other guides for other cars but iam not capable enough to figure it out, any help is appreciated, thanks!

my father had it like that until I told him that the headlights were not on

someones like it but I there are persons that see some light on the road (fog lights) and the dash gauges leds are on and they think they have their headlights on.

I dont recommend using only your fogs they dont light the road better than the the headlights + I could not see you at night if you drive behind me. lol j/k

I am going to do this mod when I have the time. I've checked over the wiring diagrams on hmaservice website and looks relativelty easy. You just have to ground the switch directly to the chassis instead of to the lighting module. I don't remember which wire exactly. I'll have to look over the diagram again.

After this mod you will be able to turn on your foglamps with the lights in parking mode and the fogs will not turn off when the hi beam is activated.

how about wiring the fog lamps to the parking lights so when you turn on the parking lights, you are able to turn on the fogs, AND when you turn off the parking lights, it automatically kills power to fogs and shuts them off...

cant count how many times i have wired up fogs to other cars of mine and killed the batteries by leaving fog lamps on....

think i'll run to pep boys this weekend and pick my up a set of slim ones.... maybe a new horn too.... i keep yall posted...

I looked at the wiring diagram and I believe the switch only has power when the key is in and switched to accessory position or ignition. Therefore you can't leave the foglights on unitentionally.

why not wire the fog lights directly to the parking lights that way when ever the parking lights are on the fog lights are on, and when they're off the fog lights are off. thats what i did when i had fog lights on my tC and it worked out great.

Is it possible to have make it so that you have FULL CONTROL of the foglights at all times? What I mean is that so you don't have to have the parking lights on in order for the fog lights to work? I'm planning on swapping out the fog light bulbs for leds from V-LEDS.com (I've been talking with the development team there and they are currently designing LEDs specifically for 880/881 as we speak), though they obviously won't be effective as fog lights, they could be used as running lights, which is what I'd like to use them for assuming someone could tell me how to gain full control over when the fog lights are on or off independent of the other lights.

Thanks!

cool thanks! not sure if the $18 is really worth it though. Might just drive around with my parking lights on from 7-8:30pm then switch to full headlights at dark like I've been doing.

I never did it. Honestly I think it's silly to spend $18 on something like that... but as soon as I actually HAVE $18, I probably won't think it's silly.
