hello all,

i'm getting this clicking noise in the back of my car. This only happens when i press on the brake. At first i thought it was the brake shoes in the back but when i pull the hand brake to slow it down or when i slightly press the brake, i don't hear the clicking noise. My guess is that the bearings are gone in the back but if any have ever encountered this problem before, please give me a shout.

Thanks

Not sure what to tell you, as to a cause. Based upon the symptoms described, though, I wouldn't necessarily be leaning towards bearings. Bearings usually have a low rumbling noise, a grinding noise, a squeal, or any combination of the three--which is present whether you are breaking or not. It may be more noticeable in a turn, depending upon which bearing is worn out.
