I have a 2001 Sonata GLS and I'm having issues with the sunroof. When I press the button to close it it will close but stop about 3 inches or so before it should, also it will not raise up when I press the up button. Can anyone please help me with theis?

Have you checked the tracks yet? They can get clogged with gunk and cause that problem. Other than that, there is a current switch in the motor that could be faulty. Try disconnecting you battery for 10 minutes to reset everything in the car.

Yeah I checked the tracks and I hae reset the car. I finally broke down and contacted a Hyundai dealership. I have to have some parts replaced in the motor and they are going to replace the tracks as well, clean everything out and lube it all so that it works like it's brand new. Going to cost me about $1000.
