When ever I go over a bumpy road the back end of my car sounds like something is loose but I can't see anything wrong also the noise stops after about 35 miles and hour. The two shops I've taken my car to say nothing is wrong. I tell them you can't hear anything if you go over 35 but I doubt they are test driving my car under that speed. So have any of you experienced this before?

Add on
It sounds like the clunking sound is coming from the rear driver side possibly the trunk.

I'm guessing it's a sway bar issue. The sway bar is held to the chassis by to brackets with rubber bushings that cushion it and hold it in place. The ends of the sway bar are attached to the struts with end links. My bet is that either your end links are getting loose, or the bushings are wearing away. Here's a picture of what I'm talking about:

If you and slide under the car you should be able to see the sway bar and all attachments. Just grab onto it and see if anything moves. If so, it might need to be replaced.

If you want to learn more than you probably want to know about sway bars, click here.
