alright then. so im doing another post from my phone cause i hate my job haha so lets do this. ok, so lately ive been messing around with sport mode for the shiftronic manual gate. what im wondering is would i get better gas mileage in sport mode seeing as my rpm's stay significantly lower than when im in standard auto? when i get up to the suggested shift speed im usually around 2k rpm and then when i just cruise along i usually sit at about 15-1600 rpm. Im hoping that with sooth shifts and going easy on the throttle that my mpg's will increase, especially with the new addition of my new intake. anybody experiment with this already or have some thoughts on it?

I tried this for one tank of gas on my 01 SF 4x4 and I got barely +1 mpg advantage. The disadvantage is a lot of shifting around town and sometimes forgetting to shift from 1st gear to 2ng gear, which ate up almost all the gas savings. I found that changing my driving habits, i.e. not moving out into traffic until I can easily accelerate without flooring it, pulling my foot off the gas earlier during acceleration, lowering my highway speed from 80+ MPH to less than 75 MPH, etc., works much better and with much less effort. :57:

i figured as much, which is shocking to me cause under light acceleration or just coasting (which i do most of the time in sport mode) in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gear i can typically keep my rpms at about 1300 and still maintain my current speed.
