Question:

How low does a tire have to get before the TPMS warns of it?

:)

Any pressure that is 25 percent below the recommended tire pressure as posted
on the door pillar which is 22.5 psi. There is a TSB on this: 08-SS-002-1

In my case, the light was activated when someone at the dealership aired my tires down to far below
the recommended psi of 30 psi when the tires were warm and then it became somewhat
colder a couple of weeks later, and three tires were at 25 psi cold,
but the one that triggered the light was at only 23 psi. :whistling:

A stupid tech did this to try and improve the ride to satisfy my complaint about the shocks not being correct. The ignorant service writer had written up my complaint as "Customer states he feels every small bump in the road."
I had gone there with TSB 07-50-007 in hand which I am sure he had never seen and did not bother to read!

Of course when I went back and complained about the tires
being so low, no one knew anything about that. DUH!

:)
