Okay so im wondering whats the biggest Tire/Rim Combination i can fit on my 93 Scoupe LS?

Im looking at buying either 17 or 18 inch rims. But i dont want any clearance issues. Anyone know what the biggest size of tire/rim, will fit?

Thanks -Stony

Know some are/were driving with 17 inch with 205/40.

I think perhaps 18 inch will fit with the lowest tyres : 205/35

But what's important too is the ET of the rim.

Good site to compare tyres en rims diameters: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

That tyre calculator is pretty good.

I want to get some 17s soon.

The question I have is how much offset (ET) d othe standar alloys have, cos I have to get a staggered offset on the back so the wheels fit the arches better.

Rimms come usually in different offsets. If you want the wheels at the back more outwards you can choose a lower ET or spacers.

But too low ET and too width rim/tyre will make the wheels come out of the arches.

Ok cool,

cos my rear wheels sit about 1.5 inshces inside the arches while the front wheels sit prefectly in line with the arches.
