Hey all, I'm planning on changing all 4 pad sets and rotors. Anything special I should be aware of on my 2005 SF 2.7 FWD?

i dont know about the 05 models but on my 01 after a while the brake pads started losing mad dust and started turning my rims black. i myelf lke keeping my truck very clean for outward appearance so my advice is this: do not skimp out on break pads. get better quality pads. otherwise before too long they will start squeaking a lot and your rims will turn dark grey/black and people will laugh at you. at least i laugh when i see/hear other people with that problem haha. i dont know much about rotors but since the santa is heavier id suggest higher quality rotors, maybe from like aem if they make them im not even sure if they do as im too poor to replace a lot of things i need on mine. but i guess thats what you get when your a kid and you put a $2500 sound system in your santa haha

unless your putting aftermarket parts on, i wouldnt think youd need new rotors. they should be able to be turned at a reputable brake shop unless they are severely warped. that depends on your mileage and driving style. i agree on not skimping on pads though, ya get what you pay for. removal of the discs im not sure about since ive yet to do this on mine, i have an 05 V6 fwd. im not sure what type of parking brake set up they have but you might need a special tool to retract the rear caliper pistons to put new pads on.
