What are you trying to hook the sub up to? ie, do you still have the factory stereo installed? or have you replaced the head unit and added an amp to power the sub.
We just installed a nice little stereo in my girlfriends tiburon. Typically the setup that you'd want to aim for is head unit connected to amplifier 1 (4 channel). Amplifier 1 then runs the 4 front and rear speakers. Headunit also connected up to amplifier 2 (2 channel or 1 channel). Amp 2 then runs the sub of choice. If it's a 2 channel amp, then the single sub should be run in bridged mode, whereby the positive lead is connected to the positive terminal for channel 1 and the negative lead is connected to the negative terminal of channel 2 (or vise versa).
Unless you have problems that are tiburon specific, I suggest you find a car audio forum and post there as well as these forums seem to be quite quiet. With my girlfriends tiburons, we wanted to put the amps under the front seats but they wouldn't fit. As such they're both mounted on backside of the rear seats, and a 15" such sits in the boot. It all sounds very nice.
