set the G-lever into "3" in town up to +-40mph. This makes the engine run at 2000~2500 rpm's, which is the most economical range for multi-valved engines. Also, you will find a better engine response to the throttle movement.

Ever 3-4 thousand i get an oil change, i just recently changed the spark plugs and air filter. I also recently put the fuel injection cleaner in the gas tank. The car has about 36000 miles on it. I get no more then 20 miles per gallon! Im getting about an average of 200-220 per full tank of gas (which is 14.5 gallons).

Have you ever had anyone following you to see if your exhaust is black (burning too rich). Is this normal driving or is it erratic speed changing. Under normal driving conditions, you should be getting between mid twenties to low thirties for mileage (city to highway). Personally, I would take it in to the Hyundai dealership for a tuneup, then you would have a baseline to start from

start and stop driving is **** on cars. I have an 2001 hyundai elantra i put exhaust and short ram air on it. Not saying you have to get a loud exhaust but i would recommend changing from the cat back and putting a short ram air on it. i average 45 mpg on highway and about 36-40 in the city. i hope this was helpful to u because these upgrades helped my wallet out alot. Although alot of people will make fun of you for driving a slow hyundai at least u will have their cake and eat it 2 in gas mileage.

Dwhite,

I would like to hear more details on the mods on your car for gas mileage.

I don't care about speed just good mileage so if you could give more details I would appreciate it.
