Basically the same, just packaged different.

 

Just the look and you can tell which is nicer.

The Sportage will have more power, different suspension, etc. Hopefully not more tech than the new Tucson.

 

I'll tell you what else it will have, that I am pretty sure the Hyundai won't: paddle shifters. I absolutely think these should be on every car. I use them constantly and hate driving my old 2010 Tucson, which doesn't have them. If I want to downshift, I have to take my hand off the steering wheel and go into manual mode. I don't need to do that on my Sonata, nor did I on my Audi before that. I'll bet the Sportage gets them.

 

So they pics on the Kia website for the 2016 Sportage are not accurate????

Now going back to it I see they used the exact photos and blurbs for the 2015.

 

I have seen pics of concepts, but nothing that anyone (not even the "spy" websites) are calling real. Funny thing is, the Korean Car Blog says it will be here in September, two months after the Hyundai Tucson. Hmmmmmm...that would mean the Tucson was supposed to be here in July!
