Help with brakes squeaking?

I don't know if it could be pads, rotors, calipers or something else. Just noticed it today. It squeaks while driving and then when I hit the brakes it lets out an even louder annoying squeak.

Obviously I was thinking its something involving my brakes but why would it squeak while I'm just driving?

What could it be?

Metal to metal contact (like shims) - Easily fixable with some special packet of lube you get at car parts stores

Or pads wearing out.

Just put in new pads on my Nata because of this. Noise gone.

On my Azera, I put in new pads without lubing the metal parts and squeak city.

So yeah, maybe one of those two.

do not put any lube on the rotor surface >:D You'll be ice skating in your sonata.

On a serious note,
Notice the caliper itself where the two "claw like" teeth come down? Well, put the grease where that meats the metal shim on top of the pad.
I have circled the places where I think you should dab some for sure. Any other place that you see metal to metal contact, I would put a little.

I made the mistake of just dumping it all across the metal surface on top of pad...don't do that cause as you can see, you would have to clean it off since there will be a huge gap in the middle.

Good diagram thanks a lot man..so basically where the fangs hit the pad. Put it all around there.

Also, where did you happen to get those rotors. they're quite nice =] and what paint did you use on the calipers. I used duplicolor and it started to crack after a couple months.

Looks horrible. I have to remove the paint but don't know how to go about it. I heard brake cleaner?
